HALIFAX — Health officials in Nova Scotia are reporting 40 new COVID-19 infections today and 29 more recoveries from the disease.
Officials say 20 new cases are in the northern zone of the province, where a cluster of infections was identified late last month.
Eighteen new cases are in the central zone, which includes Halifax, and two new cases are in the western region.
Officials say there continues to be limited community spread in the capital region.
Three schools were notified of COVID-19 exposures yesterday in Timberland, N.S., and Upper Tantallon, N.S.
Nova Scotia has 214 active reported infections and has 13 people in hospital with the disease, including five in intensive care.
