North Hollywood’s Garland Hotel Spiffs Up With New Patio Restaurant
The 43-year old North Hollywood hotel built for “My Three Sons” and “7th Heaven” actress Beverly Garland has been redubbed the Garland, and continues to be owned by her son James Crank. A recent remodel included 257 guest rooms, including 14 suites, decorated in a sophisticated bohemian style — think mid-century furnishings, macrame wall hangings and lots of woodsy accents.
A penthouse suite includes a deep soaking tub and three balconies. New hotel restaurant the Front Yard serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with a bar, tree-shaded patio and firepit, offering tempting bites and including flatbreads, Thai shrimp salad and Nutella-stuffed French toast.
Try a Santa Ana winds cocktail or a craft brew at the lobby or pool bar. The seven-acre property’s new garden area is designed to be wedding-worthy, and the hotel is convenient to Universal, Warners, Radford Studio Center and Disney.
