Nokia's Nuage Networks Partners Philippines' Globe Telecom

Nokia Corporation NOK recently announced that its Nuage Networks has partnered with Globe Telecom to provide software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) services to large enterprise customers as well as small and midsize businesses across Philippines. Globe Telecom is a telecommunications service provider based in the archipelagic country in Southeast Asia.

The Nuage Networks SD-WAN solution offers a range of branch routers and gateways at the remote site to facilitate seamless and automated connectivity to cloud networks. The technology provides a flexible and open SD-WAN infrastructure to enable Globe Telecom deliver cloud-native business services, allowing enterprises to move to the cloud.

The Nuage Networks Virtualized Network Services (VNS) automate branch site connectivity to help service providers and enterprises reduce operational overhead and launch new services faster. It aligns network service with needs of the enterprise, offering flexibility to deliver an unconstrained network experience that matches the dynamic cloud environment. It offers deployment options for cloud integration and branch virtual private network services.

The Nuage Networks VNS increases the microsegmentation of security within and across the WAN environment. Data and location security are centrally controlled and pushed to the branch as a core function of the connectivity service. It provides centralized control of IP routing, Layer 2 forwarding and security profiles.
