Netflix dumped by Icahn; Ford picks up; Lennar surprises

Time for your daily dose of trending tickers, the stocks you're following based on your Yahoo Finance ticker searches.

Netflix

Netflix (NFLX) whipped around. Shares still gained but lost ground briefly when Carl Icahn tweeted he sold his remaining stake in the company. The video streaming giant spiked at the open on its seven-for-one stock split.

Ford

Investors stepped on the gas with shares of Ford (F). The stock moved higher after Goldman Sachs (GS) upgraded it to a "buy" rating. At the same time, America's largest automaker, General Motors (GM) slipped on the firm's downgrade to a "neutral" rating. Ford also announced it will test a car-sharing program to compete with the likes of Uber and Lyft.
