Morumbi Resources Announces Annual Meeting and the Resignation of an Officer of the Company

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - May 8, 2014) - MORUMBI RESOURCES INC. (TSX VENTURE:MOC) ("Morumbi Resources" or the "Company") announces that its Annual and Special meeting of Shareholders for its year ended July 31, 2013 will be held on Friday, June 6th, 2014 at 10am EST at the law offices of WeirFoulds LLP at 66 Wellington St. W, Suite 4100, Toronto, Ontario M5K 1B7.

You may vote at the meeting if you were a shareholder of record at the close of business on May 5, 2014. The Proxy Statement and Annual Report will be mailed to Shareholders. If you cannot attend the annual meeting in person, please date and execute the form of proxy and return it in the envelope provided to Olympia Corporate and Shareholder Services, a Division of Computershare, the registrar and transfer agent of the Company, at 8th floor, 100 University Ave., Toronto, Ontario, M5J 1Y1 by no later than 10:00am EST on June 4, 2014.

The Company would also like to announce that Lindsay B. Semple has resigned from the company as Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. Morumbi Resources would like to thank Mr. Semple for his contributions to the Company and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
