More Sephora at Kohl's locations opening ahead of Labor Day. See which stores are getting a makeover.

More Kohl's stores are getting Sephora beauty shops.

The first 77 Sephora at Kohl's locations opened in August, and now two more rounds of opening dates have been revealed.

Thirty-seven new Sephora locations open Friday in time for Kohl's Labor Day sale and another 41 are slated to open Sept. 17. Sephora products also can be purchased at Kohls.com.

This fall, 200 Kohl's stores are expected to have Sephora departments added to them, and another 400 locations are targeted to open in 2022. By 2023, the companies plan to bring the Sephora at Kohl's experience to more than 850 of the more than 1,150 Kohl's stores.

Sephora at Kohl’s shops are replacing Kohl's current in-store beauty assortment. Shoppers have access to around 125 brands and more than 8,500 products in categories including makeup, skincare, hair and fragrance products at the new shops.

Instead of being a traditional department store beauty counter like you’d see at Nordstrom or Macy’s, the experience will be like a store within a store occupying about 2,500 square feet near the store entrance.

The new space at Kohl's is similar to "Sephora inside JCPenney," a partnership that began in 2006 but is expected to end in late 2022 as the department store chain moves to a new concept. This October, JCPenney Beauty will open in some stores and online, with a nationwide store rollout set to launch in fall 2022.

Sephora purchases made at Kohl's will be eligible for benefits through both retailers’ free loyalty programs – Kohl’s Rewards and Sephora Beauty Insider. However, Sephora products are excluded from Kohl's coupons and do not earn Kohl’s Cash. Learn more about how to use the two loyalty programs together here.

Kohl's Labor Day sale 2021

The sale kicked off Thursday and continues through Monday, Sept. 6. Some Sephora Beauty products are on sale up to 50% off.
