Micron under pressure by China, IBM wins Australia contract, Amazon to print holiday catalog

Here’s a look at some of the companies the Yahoo Finance team will be watching for you today.

Micron Technology (MU) is under pressure after a Chinese court blocked it from selling some products in China. Micron says the injunction only affects “slightly more than 1%” of its annual sales and will impact fiscal fourth quarter revenue.

IBM (IBM) just won a $740M contract to provide key services to the government of Australia. Under the deal, IBM will help with data security and other initiatives. Just two years ago, IBM had to pay out a multi-million dollar penalty over security issues that hit Australia’s national census.

Amazon (AMZN) is looking to capitalize on the demise of Toys ‘R’ Us. The online giant is reportedly planning a holiday toy catalog, similar to the Toys ‘R’ Us “Big Book.” Bloomberg says it will be mailed to homes and given out at Whole Foods. Amazon increasingly is using traditional retail methods to drive sales.

Walmart (WMT) is facing some controversy, over clothing that was up for sale on its website. The company has pulled down these “impeach 45” clothes. A third party seller, called Old Glory, was offering them, and it has similar items up on Amazon. Old Glory says it’s sold more pro-Trump than anti Trump designs since he took office.
