Media Advisory/Canadian Urban Transit Association Conference, Sustainable Mobility: A Lifestyle

QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov 9, 2012) - From November 10 to 14, public transit professionals will gather in Quebec City to attend the CUTA Fall Conference and Trans-Expo 2012, Canada''s Transit and Bus Exhibition. Over 450 delegates and 125 exhibitors will participate in meetings and events on the theme of Sustainable Mobility: A Lifestyle. The conference is being hosted by the Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC).

Meetings and education sessions will be held at the Hilton Hotel. Trans-Expo 2012 will be held for one day only, on Tuesday, November 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Quebec City Convention Centre, Level 400.

RTC host breakfast

Address begins at 8:15 a.m. Delegates will be welcomed by representatives from CUTA''s international partners. Opening addresses by Michelle Morin-Doyle, Deputy Mayor of Quebec City; Raymond Dion, President of the Réseau de transport de la Capitale''s board of directors; Michael Roschlau, President and CEO of CUTA; Bob Paddon, Chair of the Board of Directors; Stéphane Forget, First Vice Chair; and the Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Veterans Affairs.

Keynote address by Gil Penalosa, Executive Director NGO 8-80 Cities, in the Palais/Kent room.

Tuesday, November 13

Keynote address by Sylvain Gaudreault, Minister of Transport, Minister of Municipal Affairs, Regions and Land Occupancy for the Government of Quebec, at the Quebec City Convention Centre, Level 400.

Official opening of Trans-Expo 2012, Canada''s Bus and Transit Exhibition, and visit from Minister Sylvain Gaudreault. The exhibition will feature the most innovative products and services in the public transit industry.
