Yahoo Finance Maura Higgins sparks dating rumours thanks to Instagram Stories
Love Island's Maura Higgins and Strictly Come Dancing's Giovanni Pernice sparked relationship rumours this weekend (June 12/13) after seemingly going on a mini break together.
The rumours started when eagle-eyed fans noticed the pair, who are both single, had followed each other on Instagram.
Fast forward a few days and ex-Islander Maura headed off to Cornwall for a weekend getaway, sharing snaps and videos to her Story. While she was there, a guest staying at the same hotel took to socials to reveal who Maura was holidaying with, teasing that it was Giovanni.

On her Story, another guest at the hotel (via The Sun) said: "You just never know who you'll spot at a place like @polurrianonthelizard!! I spotted two Love Islanders and a rather well known dancer."
On top of that, dancer Giovanni was also spotted taking photos with fans outside the hotel where Maura was staying. Coincidence?

Although Maura and Giovanni have not confirmed or denied the rumours, that hasn't stopped Love Island fans getting excited over the prospect of a new relationship.
Maura appeared on the 2019 series of Love Island, and dated costar Curtis Pritchard for seven months outside the villa. More recently, she was in a relationship with fellow Islander and close friend, Chris Taylor. They announced their relationship in November last year via Instagram. Chris posted a sweet photo of Maura, captioned: "Turns out I fell in love with my best mate @maurahiggins ♥️".
The pair split last month after deciding they're better off as friends. Since then, former Love Island contestant Megan Barton Hanson admitted she had slid into Maura's DMs.
