The Masked Singer US spoilers follow.

The Masked Singer US unveiled two more contestants last night (Thursday, September 23), as host Nick Cannon introduced the Take It Off buzzer twist.

The popular reality show's sixth season only started two days ago, and yet three celebrities have been revealed in that time. First up, there was Octopus, who turned out to be Lakers basketball pro Dwight Howard, and yesterday evening, it was Mother Nature and Pufferfish's turn to get the boot.

The episode opened with Mother Nature's unmasking, as resident guessers Ken Jeong and Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg suggested they might be Tiffany Haddish, and Nicole Scherzinger reckoned it could be Chelsea Handler, before she switched to agree with Robin Thicke that it was Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross.

In the end, Mother Nature turned out to be Kill Bill actor Vivica A Fox, as the panellists realised that her Wayne Brady clue was in reference to his Masked Singer character, the Fox, from 2019.

"Oh my gosh, this has been exhilarating. I challenged myself. I've done so many things in my career, and I've never done anything like this before," she said. "I had fun!"

Later, Pufferfish was confirmed to be R&B singer Toni Braxton, after Jeong, Scherzinger, McCarthy-Wahlberg and Thicke incorrectly guessed Guardians of the Galaxy's Zoe Saldana, Monica, Nelly Furtado and Jessica Alba respectively.

"It was so much fun," she said of the experience. "You took me away from being so scaredy cat and thinking about this whole thing going on in the world. It was nice to feel light for a moment."

Elsewhere in the show, Cannon introduced the Take It Off buzzer, a new feature that allows the panellists to immediately make someone "take it off". In short, if one of the judges thinks they're completely certain they know who a participant is, they can hit the buzzer at any time during the competition and offer up the identity.

If they're correct, that contestant has to leave the competition right then and there, and the guesser gets two points towards the Golden Ear Trophy.

If they're wrong, though, the contestant remains masked and the panellist will suffer a humiliating punishment and lose two points towards the Golden Ear Trophy. It can only be used once in Group A and once in Group B.

The Masked Singer US airs on FOX in the US, while its UK sister show can be found over on ITV.
