Housing offering shelter from market storm

One place investors have been able to ride out the market storm has been housing. The home-builder ETF, XHB (XHB), has outperformed the S&P 500, even with a dip of its own yesterday. Add to that strong June housing data and you have a pretty good shelter from the market storm.

Would McDonald's benefit from spinning of properties?

McDonald's (MCD) may consider spinning off its properties into a REIT. While the company notes the importance of owning its own property, its CFO said they would consider all financial options to boost shareholder value, and will update investors in November.

Target eyes grocery delivery: report

Target is reportedly planning to join Walmart (WMT) and Amazon (AMZN) in the grocery delivery business. Target's chief marketer said the company plans to test deliveries in the "very near future," according to the Star Tribune.
