A 38-year-old man died after he was shot near the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, according to Lexington police.

Police were called around 3:50 p.m. Thursday about a shooting in a parking lot outside an apartment complex, Lt. Ronald Keaton said. Officers found the victim in the 600 block of Winnie Street.

The Fayette County coroner’s office identified the Lexington man as Jocko Dianti Green. He died of his gunshot wounds about 7 p.m. at UK Hospital.

Keaton said he was unsure if the apartment complex had surveillance cameras that might have captured footage of the shooting. Police didn’t have any suspect information, he said.
