Man, 40, fighting for life after being struck by car in Redbridge
A man is fighting for life after being struck by a car in east London.
Police were called to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian on the A12 Eastern Avenue in Redbridge, near the junction with Evanston Gardens, just before 8.30pm on Monday.
They found a 40-year-old man with a head injury. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.
His next of kin has been informed.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene and was not arrested.
Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are carrying out enquiries and want to speak to anyone who saw the collision.
