Macy's (M) Stock Sinks As Market Gains: What You Should Know

In the latest trading session, Macy's (M) closed at $16.63, marking a -0.6% move from the previous day. This change lagged the S&P 500's daily gain of 0.42%.

Prior to today's trading, shares of the department store operator had lost 11.76% over the past month. This has lagged the Retail-Wholesale sector's loss of 1.87% and the S&P 500's gain of 2.64% in that time.

Wall Street will be looking for positivity from M as it approaches its next earnings report date. The company is expected to report EPS of $0.13, up 116.05% from the prior-year quarter.
