Lovecraft Country actress Wunmi Mosaku has lined up her next big role, as she has been confirmed to be joining the cast of indie movie Call Jane.

Mosaku, who plays Ruby Baptiste in Lovecraft Country, will star alongside Pitch Perfect actress Elizabeth Banks and Alien star Sigourney Weaver in the 1960s-set drama, which is directed by Carol writer Phyllis Nagy, reports Deadline.

Call Jane will star Banks as a traditional housewife named Joy, who unexpectedly falls pregnant. She soon finds the Janes, an underground abortion movement led by Virginia (Weaver).

She will next be seen in Marvel's upcoming Loki series on Disney+, in which she plays Hunter B-15 opposite Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief.

It has not yet been confirmed whether HBO will be renewing Lovecraft Country for a second season, but star Jurnee Smollett, who plays Leti Lewis, is very much on board for another run.

"I mean, it would be so wrong to folks, the way episode ten ends, to not do another season," she said recently.

Lovecraft Country is available to watch via NOW in the UK, and is also available to own digitally from all major retailers. US viewers can watch with HBO Max.
