Cannabidiol brand Love Hemp has announced a tie-up with 24/7 online mental health support service Togetherall.

CBD stands for cannabidiol - the non-psychoative compound in cannabis plants. It is used medicinally to treat conditions including insomnia. Love Hemp has reported seeing demand surge since the pandemic hit as people have looked for help with anxiety or sleep disorders.

Now the London-based firm's newsletter subscribers will be able to get free access to the Togetherall platform, which offers some access to trained professionals and a range of courses and resources.

It is the first consumer deal for the 14-year-old Togetherall, which has previously worked with the NHS and the British Army.

Love Hemp's AIM-listed owner World High Life backs legal medicinal cannabis, hemp and CBD. Bank of America Merrill Lynch has estimated the global consumer market for CBD is set to reach a value of around $39 billion by 2032.

Togetherall boss, Henry Jones, hailed the "unique partnership", and Love Hemp chief executive Tony Calamita said: "In the last year, the impact of the coronavirus pandemic has had a profound effect on people's mental wellbeing and will continue to do so for years to come.

“We chose Togetherall because it offers anonymous support 24/7, bridging the gap for those who do not want to talk to friends or family, or seek professional help."
