Lost Voice Guy wants to tell parents he loves them with new Geordie accent
Britain's Got Talent winner Lee Ridley, aka Lost Voice Guy, wants to tell his parents he loves them in a Geordie accent.
The comedian from Consett, County Durham has cerebral palsy and uses a speech synthesiser to communicate but he wants an accent to match that of his family members, and has put out an appeal for someone to "donate" their voice.
During an appearance on Thursday's This Morning he told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield it would be "strange" to lose the current voice he uses as he discussed the search for the new one.

"I’ve had this voice for most of my life, so it’s a part of me now. And of course, everyone recognises it as my own voice, so it’s going to be strange," he said.
"Hopefully I will end up with a nice Geordie accent," Ridley added before Willoughby questioned what was the first thing he would like to do when he is able to use his new voice.

"You’re going to think that I’m being soppy, but I’d like to tell my mum and dad how much I love them in my own accent," he explained.
It comes as Ridley has appealed for someone donate their voice to him through a recording session that could then be transformed into his new voice by speech synthesis company CereProc.
In a post to his website he's said he would like "a male voice, who is aged between 30 and 40, and has a mild Geordie/County Durham accent".
