Complete with a gorgeous, heat-tolerant and nonstick enamel coating, this heavy-duty pot can bake, broil, braise and roast food in the oven (it can handle temperatures of up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit!), or fry, sauté and simmer on your stovetop. The large lid handle also allows for quick and easy removal.

In testing, we dubbed the 4.6-quart version ($59.99) of this cocotte as our best value pick. We loved its colorful look and found that it performed like a far more expensive model—our soup tasted great, the chicken and veggies had plenty of room to cook and our bread came out with a near-perfect crust. Plus, it was only a fraction of the price of our favorite, the Staub cast iron 5.5-quart round cocotte, $259.95. In fact, our only complaint was the smaller-than-average base size, a qualm that becomes obsolete thanks to the 6-quart's larger size.
