Liverpool vs Real Madrid live stream: How to watch Champions League quarter-final online and on TV tonight
Liverpool are attempting to once again overturn an imposing first-leg deficit when they face Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tonight.
Jurgen Klopp’s side underwhelmed in Valdebebas as Vinicius Jr exposed the flaws in the Reds’ creaking defence, scoring twice in the 3-1 victory. Mohamed Salah’s second-half away goal did bring Liverpool a glimmer of hope, while they will be able to draw confidence from their famous comeback against Barcelona two years ago.
Liverpool are hardly the same outfit now, though, with the club currently languishing in sixth in the Premier League table. But they have now won their last three top-flight matches in succession, somewhat raising spirits at the club.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, who was at fault for one of Madrid’s goals in the first leg, scored a breathtaking last-gasp winner against Aston Villa in a 2-1 victory at Anfield.

Prediction
Despite Liverpool’s tendency to rise to the big occasion, their long-standing injury issues and lack of confidence may mean another heroic comeback is beyond them. With the Reds’ defence decidedly vulnerable, Madrid will always be dangerous and a goal might yet be enough to clinch the tie on aggregate. Liverpool 2-1 Madrid (3-4 agg.)
