What is the team news?

Leeds were given a boost over the two-week international break by the return to full fitness of screening midfielder Kalvin Phillips who Bielsa will hope can offer his team more security after consecutive 4-1 defeats. Pablo Hernandez will miss out however, while Jamie Shackleton and Diego Llorente are yet to return.

Arsenal will be without Sead Kolasinac and Mohamed Elneny due to positive Covid-19 tests. Summer signing Thomas Partey misses out with a thigh injury sustained against Aston Villa. It remains to be seen if Arteta will rest players like Bukayo Saka and Kieran Tierney who played substantial minutes for England and Scotland during the break. Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson were left out of Arsenal's Under-23 game on Friday so are likely to be included in the squad.

What are our writers saying about both teams?

Mike McGrath: Marcelo Bielsa’s commitment to all-out attack is thrilling - but it could cost Leeds

Leeds have been the entertainers of the Premier League, with 31 goals coming in their matches. All of Bielsa’s midfielders are instructed to push forward when they get on the ball, which has left them open to the counter-attack, including defensive midfielder Kalvin Phillips, who is set to return to the squad for Sunday’s match against Arsenal after a shoulder injury. “It is very easy to defend well if you decide not to attack,” Bielsa said. “Leeds is in the top three who create the most danger in the criteria that we analysed. I’m saying that we create danger, but when you create danger you need efficiency and accuracy.” Bielsa joked at the end of his tactical speech that his other option was to give a short answer without any detail.

Sam Dean: Mikel Arteta determined to find source of Arsenal training ground leak

Mikel Arteta has vowed to find out who leaked the news of Dani Ceballos and David Luiz’s training-ground spat and has warned there will be “consequences” when he does.Arteta played down the incident, saying training is “very competitive” and that these issues are a frequent occurrence, but is furious that it became public knowledge.“I don’t like that at all,” said Arteta, who will address his players and staff about the leak. “And I will find out where it is coming from and if that is the case, that goes completely against what I expect from each other, the privacy and the confidentiality that we need, and there will be consequences.”Ceballos branded the story “fake” on Twitter but Telegraph Sport understands there was a coming together of the two players in a training game.Arteta suggested the incident was no different to other disagreements on the training ground and insisted there are now no problems between the pair.

What is our prediction?

Leeds will create chances, but their aggressive, man-on-man defensive approach might be just what this Arsenal team need after several games in which they have struggled to create against organised blocks. Leeds games can sometimes resemble a basketball match, and Arsenal's quality up top might just see them edge it. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been far too marginal, but this game should be up his alley.

Verdict: Leeds 1 Arsenal 2
