Yahoo Finance Kyra Sedgwick recalls triggering panic button while snooping at Tom Cruise's home
It's probably not a good idea to hit a "little button" in the home of a "Mission: Impossible" star. Just ask Kyra Sedgwick.
"The Closer" star, 55, said she accidentally triggered a panic button in Tom Cruise's home while snooping around during a star-studded screening for the 1992 legal drama "A Few Good Men," in which Cruise starred alongside Sedgwick's husband, Kevin Bacon, as well as Demi Moore, Jack Nicholson and Kiefer Sutherland.
"I was very pregnant, and (Bacon and I) got invited over for dinner," Sedgwick told Drew Barrymore during an appearance on "The Drew Barrymore Show" Wednesday. Sedgwick and Bacon share two children: son Travis Sedgwick (born in 1989) and Sosie Ruth (born in 1992).
Sedgwick recalled: "We got invited over for dinner with lots of famous people like Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, because she was in ("A Few Good Men")… (Director) Rob Reiner was there, it was a flow, and Nicole (Kidman) was there. It was one of those nights that I often don't get invited to."

Although Sedgwick said she doesn't "peek in people’s drawers," the actress said she's not above "looking around" to "see what’s in plain sight."
"There was this, like, fireplace mantle, and I was looking around and there was this little button underneath the mantel," she said. "I was like, 'Oh what is that little button?' So I pressed the little button because I thought maybe something interesting will happen. Nothing happened and then I got a little nervous."
Sedgwick said she told on herself because it didn't "seem right" that nothing happened. She interrupted Cruise in the middle of a story to come clean.
"He goes, 'That's the panic button,'" Sedgwick said. "And so the cops came, they had to stop the screening… they had to see (Cruise). I think there were more than like five cop cars, it was something."

It's safe to say, Sedgwick "didn't get invited back," she admitted. Although it was "a sad moment," the actress said it's made for "a funny story" decades later.
Sedgwick and Cruise appeared together in the 1989 Oliver Stone anti-war drama "Born on the Fourth of July."
