Yahoo Finance Kourtney Kardashian was apparently "thrown off" by Travis Barker's proposal, as more details emerge
It's only been a day since we heard news of Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker's engagement, but a *lot* has gone down since.
We've had a tonne of excited responses from the Kardashian-Jenner family, plus news on how Scott Disick reportedly feels about the whole thing, and the first post from Travis' ex Shanna Moakler.
Now, more details have emerged on how the proposal actually came about, and it turns out Kourtney was apparently "thrown off" by the big moment.
Speaking to E! News, an insider revealed that Kourtney was completely shocked by the proposal and "had no idea" it was coming.
The source continued, "It happened during the sunset at Rosewood Miramar. They had just got back from NYC and decided to do a day trip to Montecito. Kourtney thought it was going to be a casual day, as they always go to Rosewood, and she was totally thrown off."
The proposal featured a *very* impressive sea full of roses laid out on the beach, with the source adding that Kourtney quickly realised what was happening once she saw the display.
"[Kourtney] knew the second she walked down the steps and saw the huge floral arrangements, that it was happening," the insider added. They continued, saying Travis got down on one knee and "professed his love for her and thanked her for making him a better person."
"It was super emotional and sentimental. Kourtney was so happy and was definitely emotional. She teared up and couldn't stop saying, 'I love you.'"

According to the source, Kardashian-Jenner family members and Travis' kids all knew about the surprise. The source explained that they "were all in on it and surprised them afterwards inside the hotel. They are all celebrating in the restaurant and have a private area."
Following Kravis' engagement news, the Kardashian-Jenner family were of course quick to share their reactions online, and there's a whole lot of love to go around.
Meanwhile, Travis' son Landon Barker, who's 18, took to TikTok to share his response to the happy news.
Posting a video of Kourtney and Travis cuddling at the dinner table, Landon slightly turned the focus on himself, writing, "So happy for me and my new family!" along with the song 'I'm gonna marry your daughter'.
So sweet! Congrats again to the happy couple.
