Kinder Morgan (KMI) Tops Q3 Earnings Estimates

Is (LXFR) Outperforming Other Industrial Products Stocks This Year?

Kinder Morgan (KMI) came out with quarterly earnings of $0.21 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.20 per share. This compares to earnings of $0.15 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of 5%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this oil and natural gas pipeline and storage company would post earnings of $0.19 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.21, delivering a surprise of 10.53%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates four times.

Kinder Morgan, which belongs to the Zacks Oil and Gas - Production and Pipelines industry, posted revenues of $3.52 billion for the quarter ended September 2018, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 3.11%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $3.28 billion. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates two times over the last four quarters.
