Khloé Kardashian Admits Reality TV Shows Make Editing Changes

Khloé Kardashian just low-key admitted that yep, reality shows are heavily edited. And sometimes it's fake. Or out of order.

Speaking on Hot Ones (via Us Weekly) Khloé said she's very aware of editing tricks on reality TV (note: she didn't name-drop The Kardashians itself), saying “I can tell when some audio has been put in, if they need to, like, reshoot audio, or if, like, a phone call is faked. And not that those things didn’t happen, but sometimes they didn’t catch the audio or sometimes the mics go out. So I understand that a lot of it might be really how it was, but they just have to redo something, or transitions to things. I even know that a lot of pages, fan accounts will find, it they see an editing issue, or something like that. It can be super minor, but I'm really aware of those things."

Khloé's comments come after The Kardashians was accused of filming a family meeting about Tristan's cheating scandal weeks after the event itself took place. Due to sleuthing the IRL dates on the show, we know the Daily Mail published Tristan’s court papers on December 3. But a fan on Reddit (via Us Weekly) noticed that the outfit Kourtney wore to the post-scandal family meeting was the same one she wore in photos also published by the Daily Mail (they've been busy) on January 31.

Some fans think this means the meeting was staged, but it's definitely possible that Kourtney wore the outfit twice—once to chill with her family, and once for a public outing. Either way, clearly reality shows are heavily edited (hundreds/thousands of content is gathered that has to fit into an hour-long episode!), and some things may end up slightly out of order as a result. Good thing we're keeping track of it all over here:
