Fed's Goolsbee says 'It makes sense to wait' before cutting rates

Jewel’s Texas Spread for Sale (EXCLUSIVE)

Genre-crossing folk-pop-country musician Jewel has her spread in the boonies near Stephenville, Texas, up for grabs at $335,000 after it was first and briefly listed at $350,000. The Alaska-bred multiple Grammy nominee and her ex-husband, rodeo champion Ty Murray, purchased the property in March 2007 for an undisclosed amount. Current listing details show the not-quite-3,000-square-foot ranch house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, and sits on 4.4 rural acres about two hours southwest of downtown Dallas. Professionally decorated and custom-finished open-plan living spaces feature hand-scraped oak floors, whitewashed ceiling beams and a colorfully tiled fireplace with massive, rough-hewn wood mantelpiece. The kitchen, completely open to the dining and living areas, features custom-painted and faux-distressed cabinetry, a combination of gray concrete and mossy green Brazilian river-rock countertops, a bead-board-paneled ceiling treatment, and a full array of up-to-date stainless steel appliances. A spacious, separate den, lined with floor-to-ceiling shelves and media storage cabinets, opens through a wide bank of French doors to an essentially un-landscaped yard that quickly gives way to open ranchlands.

Records show Murray continues to own several nearby properties and, according to the eagle-eyed guys at Celebrity Real Estate Aerial, the then-newly single Jewel decamped to Nashville, where in March 2015 she shelled out a tetch more than $1.3 million for a brand spanking new, 5,000-square-foot home on just over an acre in the upscale Green Hills neighborhood.
