From Cosmopolitan

Horrible Bosses star Jason Sudeikis thanked his ex Olivia Wilde during his acceptance speech at The Critic's Choice Awards last night, saying that the show for which he won the award had originally been her idea.

Despite being filmed entirely from home this year's Critic's Choice Awards somehow still managed to be fairly dramatic. From Katy Perry interrupting Orlando Bloom while he was presenting an award to Emma Corrin wearing a dress with teeth on it (yes, you read that right), it was all go, and one particular moment that'll tug right on those heartstrings came when Jason Sudeikis gave a shout out to his former partner Olivia Wilde when he picked up his Best Actor award.

Sudeikis gave the surprise shout-out after winning the award for his part in the Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso, also giving Wilde the credit for the idea behind the show.

"I want to thank my kids, Otis and Daisy," he began. "I want to thank their mom Olivia, who had the initial idea to do this as a TV show, saying, 'You and Brendan [Hunt] and Joe [Kelly] like doing that so much, you should do it as a movie or TV show.' … She was right."

"It’s been a wack-ass year," Sudeikis continued. "This thing has been a wonderful vessel to hear peoples' stories of forgiveness and redemption and healing and understanding. It's really, really flattering to have the opportunity to share something. It means something to you guys. It means a lot. Thank you."

Jason and Olivia were together for almost 10 years before calling off their engagement and announcing their split in November last year. The pair had been in a relationship since 2011 and engaged since 2012, sharing two children - Otis Alexander, 6, and Daisy Josephine, 4.

In January Olivia and Harry Styles went public with their new relationship, after meeting on the set of Don't Worry Darling, which Wilde is directing and co-starring in alongside Style and Little Women star Florence Pugh.
