VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - February 16, 2016) - Intrinsyc Technologies Corporation (ITC.TO)(ISYRF) ("Intrinsyc" or the "Company"), a leading provider of solutions for the development and production of embedded and Internet of Things (IoT) products, today announced the introduction of the Open‐Q™ 410 Wearable Camera Reference Design. The reference design enables companies to develop a body-worn camera product for law enforcement, fire safety, emergency medical response, security, military, and other applications. Utilizing the Reference Design accelerates time to market, reduces risks and costs, and enables compelling product innovation.

The body-worn camera delivers live audio and video recording with playback streaming capabilities via WiFi or optional LTE cellular modem onto a computer display, tablet, or cellphone for surveillance, proof of action, recording stops and arrests, sobriety tests, interviews and other applications. It is designed to support recording events in real-time for secure storage, retrieval, and analysis via cloud based services, and mobile and wearable technologies. During offline mode it can transmit video data to your local server.

"The Open-Q™ 410 Wearable Camera Reference Design is the ideal starting point for developing the next generation of body-worn cameras," stated Tom Kaboly, Director, Product Marketing, Intrinsyc Technologies Corporation. "The reference design is powered by advanced processor technology, enabling powerful processing, feature-rich innovation, yet power-efficient, performance. Utilizing Intrinsyc's expert product development services, companies can customize products to meet their unique and demanding requirements."

Products developed using the reference design may be ruggedized for use in tough environmental conditions encountered in law enforcement, corrections, military, and security activities. A variety of software and hardware enhancements such as a lithium-ion battery pack, or docking station for overnight charging with simultaneous automatic data collection may be added. Advanced security capabilities allow developers to add encryption to protect data at all times, while software hooks embedded in the design allow for seamless integration of new software and hardware to enable powerful features.
