Interior Rating:

Understated quality is better than low-grade ostentation. This point is proved inside the TLX's cabin, with its quality materials and comfortable seats. While it's not the most luxurious interior in the class, remember that the TLX is also one of the least expensive cars in the segment.

What’s New for 2019?

The only difference between the 2019 TLX interior and the cabin that came before is that the A-Spec package is now available with the four-cylinder engine. Along with specific exterior appointments, the sporty package brings unique front seats, red and black accents throughout, metallic trim, and more. Too bad the $2900 A-Spec package also requires you to order the $3700 Technology package, which makes the true cost of the package $6600.

Blind Spots, Visibility, and Obscured Roadway

Roof pillars protect occupants in a rollover crash, but they also create blind spots. We determine visibility by measuring the location and width of each pillar using an H-Point Machine and a laser beam (surrogates for a driver and eyeball, respectively). Front and rear visibility are calculated by subtracting the viewable area blocked by the pillars from a perfect 180-degree score.

The cabin of the 2019 Acura TLX is essentially unchanged. For more information on the interior, read our in-depth review of the 2018 version.
