Yahoo Finance 'I Swear By These Beats Earbuds, And Amazon Just Secretly Put Them On Sale'
I've probably gone through more headphones than socks in my lifetime. From wired $20 headphones I lost and replaced dozens of times in high school to pricier wireless, bluetooth, noise-canceling earbuds I experimented with later in life, nothing stuck—literally. Either they were so tight in my ears that they were uncomfortable, or they felt good on my ears and would fall out every time I hit my stride mid-workout.
It took me over a decade of trial and failure to find the right pair till my search ended when I tried Beats Powerbeats Pro Wireless Earbuds ($169, Amazon). Now that they're on sale, there's never been a better time to grab a pair or two (it's never too early to start holiday shopping).
Here's why these are the only earbuds I've ever liked:
They're easy to use.
I'm not tech savvy at all, so I was a bit nervous about how difficult it would potentially be to get these earbuds connected to my phone with the Bluetooth technology. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the process was, and that the earbuds seamless pair with my music and podcasts whenever I take them out of the convenient case, then quickly disconnect when I put them away.
The small case is also super convenient for travel or just throwing in my purse, too. It's flat and compact so it doesn't take up much room while still protecting the earbuds. In fact, I used to only wear headphones for workouts, but I end up wearing these almost all day while I'm working or out running errands to seamlessly toggle in between music, podcasts, and FaceTiming friends because of how convenient they are.
I talk on the phone a lot so I was a bit worried about how easily the microphone would be able to pick up my voice without a separate on-wire mic, but I've never had an issue. In fact, I've been told my sound quality is better when I wear the earbuds.
They're comfortable.
Call me the Goldilocks of headphones, but before trying these, everything I tried was either too tight and uncomfortable or so loose that they'd fall out of my ears. I forget that I'm wearing these all the time. The silicone ear wraparound provides stability, and is made with adjustable wire so you can curate the fit to the shape of your ear. Plus, the barely-there ear inserts are so comfortable that I forget that I have them in all the time.
Personally, I don't wear these to bed but I do have friends with noisy neighbors who swear that sleeping with these in has saved their sleep. (They make a great gift to the high school graduate or college student in your life!)
They're perfect for workouts.
If you love a good outdoor workout in the summer time or are just a generally sweaty person (no judgement!), these are sweat and water-resistant—making them perfect for beach and pool days, too. My personal favorite part is that these don't fall out of my ears while I work out, no matter what I'm doing. From long runs to HIIT workouts and even virtual yoga classes, these truly never budge or hinder my workout.
