Watch: AJ Pritchard addresses I’m A Celeb washing up row
AJ Pritchard insisted there was “no negativity” in the I’m A Celebrity camp as he and Mo Farah became the latest stars to get the boot.
The pair were eliminated from the ITV competition on Wednesday, leaving just four contestants at Gwrych Castle in the run-up to Friday’s finale.
During the post-exit interview, hosts Ant and Dec could not resist quizzing Pritchard about the washing-up row between him and Shane Richie.
The pair fell out over who was and who wasn’t pulling their weight with the chores, leading to some tense times in the camp.
Laughing it off, Pritchard joked: “If you are going to do a job, do it properly…”
But he went on to insist that there were “highs and lows” in camp life but that for the most part it was very “rewarding” and a positive place.
“No negativity,” he said.
Olympian Farah said it had been an “amazing experience” and that he wouldn’t change anything about his time on the reality show.
But he did admit that the stomach-churning trials were “brutal”.
During his 19 days in the castle, Farah faced all manner of critters in trials such as Game Of Groans and Fort Locks.
“It was hard,” he told Ant and Dec. “But you know what, we wanted to challenge ourselves.”
Former Strictly star Pritchard said even though they had been eliminated it still felt like “a celebration” and he and Farah agreed that the rest of the campers were now their “friends for life”.
The only celebs remaining in the competition are Vernon Kay, Shane Richie, Giovanna Fletcher and Jordan North.
A King or Queen of the Castle will be crowned on Friday.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues on ITV.
