iAnthus Gets Approval to Open Three More Cannabis Dispensaries in Florida

iAnthus Capital Holdings (CSE: IAN) (OTCQX: ITHUF) has received approval from the Florida Office of Medical Marijuana Use to open dispensaries in Lakeland and Gainesville and North Miami.

As a result, the total number of the company’s dispensaries in Florida will jump to eight. Located at 3004 US Highway 98 North, GrowHealthy Lakeland will serve the metro area population of more than 660,000.

GrowHealthy Gainesville, located at 4880 Newberry Road, Gainesville, will serve Alachua County with a population of approximately 270,000. Grand opening celebrations for these locations and Miami are planned for Aug. 30 through Sept. 1.

Florida Medical Marijuana Market

Florida is among the fastest-growing medical marijuana markets in the U.S. and continues to grow robustly.

According to the August 16 weekly update from the OMMU, Florida now has over 255,000 qualified patients, up 122% year-over-year. The current patient base represents 1.2% of the Florida population.
