Using the Sunny Row-n-Ride machine involves moving its handles and pedals.

Here's how it works: The Row-n-Ride is made up of a padded seat, two pedals and a handlebar that looks like one you might find on a stationary bike. It also has three resistance cables that you can clip or unclip to the back of the seat to make it more or less challenging. (You can also use it without any resistance at all, which may be the way to start off with the machine.) To use it, rest your rear on the seat, feet on the pedals, and keep your hands extended on the handlebars. As you push your legs down, your arms pull back into a rowing position, creating a controlled swinging motion throughout the body upper and lower body. This pulls against the resistance cables on the back of the machine—and packs a serious punch.
