HP cloud looms
Just a month after announcing it would shutter its cloud computing business, HP (HPQ) says it's going to partner with Microsoft to sell its Azure cloud product. HP hopes to cash-in on the trend in "hybrid" cloud services and hardware.
Wealth, income inequality rising
Wealth inequality is up, and the U.S. is not doing well compared to other developed nations. That's according to a study by Morgan Stanley Research that ranks the U.S. fifth in the world.
Junk food welfare
And, speaking of the poor, Republican Paul LePage, governor of Maine, is saying "no" to those who buy junk food with their food stamps. But he's not getting his way yet. The Department of Agriculture has to approve Maine's request for a waiver to the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which has not yet happened.
