Hot cocoa-flavored Oreos might be a thing, and umm, please let this be real

Now that it’s cold outside, we can’t think of a more perfect time to snuggle up with a blanket, a book and a batch of Hot Cocoa Oreos. So, the fact that these cookies don’t yet exist make that scenario a fantasy, but we can’t take the credit for coming up with the idea. An announcement by Junk Banter that claims Hot Cocoa-flavored Oreos could be lining a grocery store shelf near you as soon as October 2017.

Apparently, an Oreo rep wouldn’t offer up any deets on new flavors, but that still won’t stop us from drooling over the prospect of these yummy-sounding snacks.

No, not this year. But this time next year, Hot Cocoa Oreos will become reality. This packaging mockup was prepared by my friend @thejunkfoodaisle who, by the looks of it, really really really enjoys marshmallows in his hot chocolate. Hot Cocoa Oreos will debut alongside the Winter Oreos and the White Chocolate Oreos in October 2017.

Please, Nabisco — we beg of you. All the brand new Oreo flavors you’ve blessed us with thus far have been nothing short of wonderful, but we’re low-key addicted to devouring these cookies by the package so please be a dear and kindly release these hot cocoa cookies, ASAP.
