Warren Buffett would like to clarify something about his 'Entourage' cameo

Warren Buffett would like to clarify something about his 'Entourage' cameo

Warren Buffett has quite an extensive resume. Not only has the billionaire tackled Wall Street to become one of the most prominent investors in history, he has also taken his talents to Hollywood.

Berkshire Hathaway (BRK-A, BRK-B) chairman and CEO Warren Buffett was featured in the movie "Entourage," which made its debut last summer. He makes his appearance about halfway through the film, as he crosses paths with Ari Gold while in a golf cart. Although his cameo is brief, the Oracle of Omaha does manage to call out some advice in the studio lot before driving off screen.

But there’s a catch—during an interview with Yahoo Finance editor-in-chief Andy Serwer, Buffett said the blockbuster hit got him all wrong. Why? Because the clip shows Buffett getting a little angry, which to many people’s surprise doesn’t mirror the well-known investor's calm demeanor.

“They had me get in this cart. They wanted me to say something I wasn’t going to say,” said Buffett. “If you thought I was angry in what you saw, you would have gotten a whole different impression if they got their way.”

So how did this all come about? “What happened was that we were doing a little ‘Entourage’ section for [Berkshire’s] movie, and they asked me if they did that for me, would I do a little section for them?” said Buffett. The Berkshire movie that Buffett is referring to is the film that kicks off Berkshire Hathaway’s annual shareholder meeting. Entourage made an appearance in 2014.

Warren Buffett’s cameo in "Entourage" is not his first foray into acting. He is no stranger to Hollywood, having made appearances in "The Office," "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps," and "All My Children."

On April 30, Yahoo Finance will live stream the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting exclusively. You can find out more information here.
