Wondering which of today’s cars, trucks, and SUVs might have the potential to be collectible in 25 years? Hagerty Insurance Agency, which specializes in classic car insurance, has looked into its crystal ball and selected 10 current car models for its Hagerty Hot List 2016.

To be eligible for the Hot List, models must be built in the 2016 model year and have a base MSRP below $100,000. This year, half of the 2016 Hagerty Hot List are from Detroit-based carmakers, while four are European exotics. Only one Japanese sporty car is on the potential classic list—the Mazda MX-5 Miata.

The accompanying slideshow features all 10 of the new car models on the 2016 Hagerty Hot List, along with commentary from Hagerty about what makes these cars special.

Mazda MX-5 Miata

(Base: $24,915)
Hagerty describes the newest-generation MX-5 Miata as a “bullet-proof, trouble-free” lightweight roadster that is shorter and “more nimble” than the previous model.

Ford Focus RS

(Base: $35,730)
This Ford compact will reach U.S. dealerships in 2016, powered by a 350-horsepower engine mated with a 6-speed manual and all-wheel drive (AWD) that rallies on street or track and should excite former Mitsubishi EVO owners.

Chevrolet Camaro SS

(Base: $37,295)
Hagerty says the sixth-generation Camaro deserves consideration as a future collectible because of its new design and efficient 2.0-liter, turbocharged 4-cylinder engine plus an optional high-performance V-8 that produces 455 horsepower.

BMW M2

(Base: $51,700)
BMW debuts the M2 Coupe, which succeeds the 1 Series M, but is larger, with a “sexier” design. Hagerty says fans of the Z3 M Coupe could be swayed by it.

Ford Mustang GT350R

(Base: $62,995)
What would a Hot List be without the “R” version of Ford’s GT350 pony car that shaves weight (no rear seat) and sits on carbon fiber wheels? This model likely will join the Shelby GT350R or the Cobra R collectibles, Hagerty says.

Alfa Romeo 4C Spider

(Base: $65,900)
The 4C Spider wins points for simplicity. Hagerty predicts that well-preserved examples will dominate vintage races in the future, and says the 4C offers the vitality of the Ferrari 360 Modena at a lower price.

Porsche Cayman GT4

(Base: $84,600)
Borrows parts from the 911 GT3 in a smaller mid-engine package. In describing the Cayman GT4’s future collecibility, Hagerty reminds us how high-performance, low-production Porsches have done in the collector car market.

2016 Dodge Viper SRT Coupe

(Base: $89,090)
Hagerty likens the Viper SRT Coupe to a sledgehammer and loves the brute force of the 8.4-liter V-10. It uses words like “bludgeon,” “eviscerate,” and “trounce” when describing the car.

Cadillac ATS-V

(Base: $60,465)
With a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V-6, the ATS-V provides 464 horsepower with an 8-speed automatic or 6-speed manual gearbox. Hagerty says the ATS-V is proof that Cadillac isn’t just whistling Dixie and provides serious firepower behind all the smack talk.
