This comes as the discount website just appointed its new chief operating officer. Groupon also said it will add $200 million dollars to its stock buyback program.

Investors punished Vera Bradley (VRA) for missing earnings estimates and cutting guidance. For the year, the handbag maker is now down more than 35%. The CEO said sales are very challenging and they are not "attracting enough new customers."
LinkedIn (LNKD) added to gains for the third straight day. The stock is getting a lift by chatter activist investors may take a stake including possibly Carl Icahn. The business social network was also added to JP Morgan's U.S. equity analyst focus list.
