Golden Star Resources (GSS) Jumps: Stock Rises 15.2%

Golden Star Resources, Ltd. GSS was a big mover last session with its shares rising over 15% on the day. The upside came on an update on the company’s exploration activities at its Wassa gold mine in Ghana. The Wassa Underground has shown reasonable advancement since activities started in July 2015. This news led to far more shares changing hands yesterday than in a normal session. The move continues the recent uptrend of the company as the stock has gained nearly 59% in the past one-month time frame.

This gold mining and exploration company has seen no estimate revision in the last 30 days. The Zacks Consensus Estimate has also remained unchanged over the same period. Yesterday’s price action is encouraging though, so make sure to keep a close watch on this firm in the near future.

Golden Star Resources currently has a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) and its Earnings ESP is 0.00%.
