Manchester United look to extend their unbeaten away streak this season at Fulham while looking to return to winning ways after their draw at Anfield against champions Liverpool, which ensured Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side remained top of the Premier League.

United and Liverpool played out a goalless stalemate on Sunday, while Scott Parker’s side came unstuck against local rivals Chelsea after Antonee Robinson’s red card, with Mason Mount hitting the winning goal for Frank Lampard’s side.

Given Man City’s current form and Pep Guardiola’s side now able to take top spot if they win their game in hand, a victory here is imperative for the Red Devils and their title charge, though it will likely be tough at Craven Cottage with Parker remains encouraged by his side’s battling quality in recent weeks.

"We've done remarkably well considering where we were at the start of the season," said Parker. "We were probably the laughing stock in terms of how people were portraying us - never was that the case in-house. We've done remarkably well to be fighting and punching away like we are - not just with determination and grit, but with a real style about us.

"It's clear that you can see a real drastic improvement in our overall game. There was a narrative around us at the start of this season and that narrative was probably helped by the previous time we were in this division. We lost two games by more than two goals, that narrative was instantly in people's heads, 'Oh look, it's the same Fulham'.

“I just think people were blurred a little bit by the last time we were here. I can understand why. It was certainly an area we needed to address.”

Manchester United: De Gea; Wan Bissaka, Bailly, Maguire, Shaw; Fred, Pogba; Greenwood, Fernandes, Martial; Cavani

Odds

Fulham - 5/1

Draw - 10/3

Manchester United - 1 / 2

Prediction

United picked up a valuable point at the champions last time out, but that result is only useful if they back it up with a victory here. Fulham’s promising run of five successive draws came to an end against Chelsea, but Scott Parker’s side battled hard there, and I expect them to do so once again, despite a couple of key losses through suspension. Ultimately we’ll lean towards United’s match-winners grinding out the three points for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer though, perhaps with the winner coming in the final 15-20 minutes or so with plenty of firepower off the bench to take advantage of any tired Fulham legs. Fulham 1-2 Man United.
