Frontier Communications to Expand Broadband Service Offering

Frontier Communications (FTR) aims to expand its Fiber-based broadband footprint to cater to the evolving needs of customers. This augurs well for the long-term growth of the company.

Frontier Communications Corporation FTR aims to provide a new Gigabit service in its FiOS and Vantage Fiber markets with a view to capitalize on the growth opportunities in regional emerging markets.

The company is expanding its Fiber-based broadband footprint to cater to the evolving needs of customers and increase market share. Frontier Communications intends to offer its fastest residential broadband service, increasing new consumer broadband service to 200/200 megabits per second. It is also offering Wi-Fi EveryWare program to address the challenges that users encounter at homes regarding coverage and performance.

Furthermore, Frontier Communications focuses on generating additional revenues through customer retention, market share gain and product introductions. We believe that the company is focusing on cost control by bringing about productivity and customer-oriented enhancements, improving efficiencies of its daily operations.

Also, the company has been targeting the Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs). It has been enhancing its Ethernet capabilities lately and eyeing the retention of SMB customers with attractive plans. As part of its transformation initiatives, the company is targeting a $500 million run rate EBITDA benefit by year-end 2020. We remain encouraged by the sustainable broadband subscriber growth supported by strong network expansion and improved pricing structure.

Others players in the broader industry include Consolidated Communications Holdings, Inc. CNSL, Alaska Communications Systems Group, Inc. ALSK and Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. TDS.

Will You Make a Fortune on the Shift to Electric Cars?

Here's another stock idea to consider. Much like petroleum 150 years ago, lithium power may soon shake the world, creating millionaires and reshaping geo-politics. Soon electric vehicles (EVs) may be cheaper than gas guzzlers. Some are already reaching 265 miles on a single charge.

With battery prices plummeting and charging stations set to multiply, one company stands out as the #1 stock to buy according to Zacks research.

It's not the one you think.
