Ford Drops Episode Two Of New Focus RS Documentary Series: Video

Recently, the Ford Motor Company [NYSE:F] announced it had produced a new documentary series outlining the development of its 2016 Focus RS hot hatch. This week, the second episode from the series was released and like the first one it also features rally driver Ken Block.

As you may recall, Block was enlisted to help fine tune the car’s all-wheel-drive system. He was also influential in developing the car’s industry-first Drift mode designed to help you achieve and maintain oversteer drifts. It’s part of the drive modes selector that varies dynamic systems such as the all-wheel-drive system, damper controls, electronic stability control, steering, engine responses, and exhaust sound.

Power in the Focus RS comes from a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine similar to the one fitted to the Mustang EcoBoost. The car has a peak output of 345 horsepower and 324 pound-feet of torque (347 lb-ft with overboost), which is enough for 0-62 mph acceleration in 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 165 mph.
