Facebook reports, Tesla's new battery and preventing another flash crash

It's been an up and down morning for all the major stock indices today (^DJI, ^GSPC, ^IXIC). McDonald's (MCD), Coca-Cola (KO) and Boeing (BA) all reported earnings today with the likes of Facebook (FB), eBay (EBAY) and Qualcomm (QCOM) on deck after the close today.

Flash crash investigation
The man U.S. authorities charge with causing the "flash crash" five years ago is out on conditional bail as he fights extradition from his home in London. Navinder Singh Sarao is accused of using a trading method called "spoofing" that led to a wild stock market swings, including a 1000 point move in the Dow the afternoon of May 6th, 2010.

Facebok reports
A big earnings report is coming after the close of trading today from Facebook. The company's shares have been on a tear the past couple of months...hitting a record high...lifting the stock's value by one third from where it was a year ago.

Tesla's Earth Day play
It's Earth Day, and Elon Musk's electric car company, Tesla (TSLA), is hinting it will unveil a very Earth-friendly product next week:  a battery that helps power your house.
