Facebook or Amazon? Traders have a clear choice

Amazon.com (NASDAQ: AMZN) closed at an all-time high Thursday, while Facebook (NASDAQ: FB) ended just short of its closing peak.

Given a choice between the two Internet giants Thursday, most "Fast Money" traders had a clear preference.

Amazon shares have soared 66 percent in the last year, while Facebook's stock has spiked 55 percent. Both companies got a boost from strong first-quarter earnings .

"Facebook to me is far more interesting," said trader Karen Finerman.

Trader Dan Nathan said Facebook will become "a much more valuable company than it is now" in five years, as it sits at the front of a "massive secular shift." Facebook also looks better from a valuation standpoint, trader Guy Adami contended.

While he said he would not buy Amazon at its current prices, trader Tim Seymour said he prefers it to Facebook. He noted the e-commerce giant's entry into the shipping, fashion and media businesses.
