Yahoo Finance Exclusive: Neighbours star Charlotte Chimes on possible Nicolette and Chloe romance
Neighbours star Charlotte Chimes has spoken to Digital Spy about the possibility of a romantic future for Nicolette Stone and Chloe Brennan.
Nicolette developed feelings for Chloe when she joined Ramsay Street last year, but their bond has never gone further than friendship so far.
In a chat with Digital Spy, Charlotte admitted that Nicolette will never completely give up on the possibility that Chloe could become a romantic partner one day.
"I think Nicolette does her best to play the good friend and only be a friend to Chloe, but she never loses hope for there to be love down the track," Charlotte explained.

"Nicolette genuinely loves Chloe. She adores her and loves her as a friend. She would never want to lose that friendship, so that's why she decided to go on the elaborate journey to make Chloe find out about Pierce's affair last year, without her being the one to tell her.
"Later down the track, Nicolette hopes she could one day get together with Chloe – but who knows?"
Asked whether she'd like them to become a couple, Charlotte replied: "On one hand, yes I really would, then on the other hand I think maybe it's a bit predictable.
"Who knows? It's Neighbours, so something else could drop from the sky. You never really know! But I really do feel for Nicolette as she's genuinely in love with Chloe and just thinks she's the best."

Last year, Nicolette engineered a situation for Chloe to discover that her husband Pierce had been cheating on her with Dipi Rebecchi. The emotional repercussions led to Pierce's departure from Erinsborough.
Discussing Nicolette's controversial move, Charlotte told us: "At the end of the day, she was trying to be a good friend. Nicolette could tell that Pierce and Chloe were not right for each other.
"She would never want Chloe to be deeply unhappy and she would never want Chloe to be treated this way.
"It's not like she ever set out for Pierce to have an affair, but when she found out he was, she was determined that Chloe should know. Nicolette felt that Chloe deserved better and in some ways she feels she is that better choice."
In another big storyline currently running, Nicolette is carrying a baby for David Tanaka (Takaya Honda) and Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson). The trio have come up with a co-parenting arrangement, with Nicolette keen to be part of the child's upbringing.

Discussing the story, Charlotte added: "When I first got the script, I was shocked, to be completely honest. I thought: 'Oh my God, I'm going to be pregnant on TV!' It came a little bit out of the blue.
"But the more we thought about it, we realised that Nicolette had this tumultuous upbringing and never felt fully accepted by her mother. She wants to have a positive relationship with a child.
"The other aspect is that Nicolette is gay and she's living with this gay couple, who are like role models to her, to be honest.
"They desperately want to have a baby and to her it made complete sense for them to have a baby together. She thinks they'll have a baby and she'll be the cool live-in aunty."
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and weekdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
