Starbucks, Amazon, McDonald’s also under tax clouds
Apple remains in the spotlight a day after the European Union said the company owes Ireland more than $14 billion in taxes. But Apple is far from the only company with a lot on the line in Europe. European regulators are also unhappy with Starbucks, Amazon and McDonald’s.

Generation Z works the hardest and wants the most money: report
Forget about millennials. Today we’re talking about the young people behind them: Generation Z. A new study shows these 15- to 20-year-olds are more motivated by money than older generations, including millennials. The survey by Monster Worldwide also found Gen-Z is more willing to work longer hours and weekends than their elders.

Colin Kaepernick quarterback controversy
And there’s more sports controversy—this time after 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick refused to stand for the singing of the National Anthem. Celebrities and sports fans alike continue to weigh in. Civil rights activist DeRay McKesson has publicly supported Kaepernick’s decision, as did singer John Legend, who tweeted, “For those defending the current anthem, do you really truly love that song? I don’t and I’m very good at singing it. Like, one of the best.” But what do Kaepernick’s sponsors think?
