Emma Corrin Wore a Bonnet and Fingerless Gloves on the Red Carpet

Was it ever in doubt that Emma Corrin would show out at the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards? If so, consider those doubts put to rest.

The Crown actor stepped out at the 2021 Emmys in a Miu Miu nude-colored strapless column dress with a matching bonnet and gloves with finger cutouts that revealed her dagger-like long, black acrylic nails. She paired the sheath-style floor-length gown with nude pointy-toed pumps.

The actress tucked their blonde locks into a bonnet and paired the unique look with a very simple makeup look by Florrin White for BYREDO that consisted of peachy lips and golden eyeshadow.

Corrin, who played Princess Diana in season 4 of The Crown, has been on a hot streak of effortlessly cool ensembles throughout publicity appearances promoting the show, making for a memorable introduction into fashion icon status.

In July, Corrin opened up about gender identity and discussed the "journey" of being queer and binding their chest.

"Some time before I bought my first proper binder, messing around with @sirdavidsimon, we used boxing wrap, thanks for capturing this with me, very intimate, very new, very cool," they shared alongside a black-and-white photo on Instagram. "It's all a journey right. Lots of twists and turns and change and that's ok! Embrace it."

Corrin's Instagram bio was also updated to include pronouns "she/they."

Season 4 was Corrin's first and final season as Princess Diana; the role will be played by Elizabeth Debicki in the show's fifth and sixth seasons.

"I feel so happy to have done the arc of her life that I did, but for me it feels like a very closed chapter. I went into it knowing I wouldn't continue," Corrin told New York Times about the role. "I saw the picture of Elizabeth [Debicki], and I just think she looks absolutely brilliant. And then there were our photos side by side, and I felt really special — almost like a sort of sister feeling that there's this continued likeness."
