Emcore: Fiscal 4Q Earnings Snapshot

ALHAMBRA, Calif. (AP) _ Emcore Corp. (EMKR) on Monday reported fiscal fourth-quarter net income of $703,000, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Alhambra, California-based company said it had net income of 2 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and stock option expense, were 10 cents per share.

The maker of components for communications gear and solar panels posted revenue of $33.5 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $7 million, or 24 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $110.1 million.

For the current quarter ending in January, Emcore said it expects revenue in the range of $32 million to $34 million.

In the final minutes of trading on Monday, the company's shares hit $4.35. A year ago, they were trading at $3.16.
