Laila Morse is one of the celebrities stripping off for this year's Strictly The Real Full Monty.

The EastEnders star is taking part alongside stars such as Love Island's Demi Jones, Loose Women's Coleen Nolan and Strictly Come Dancing couple James and Ola Jordan.

Speaking to Digital Spy and others, the celebrities taking part revealed how confident Laila was in front of everyone when it came to the stripping aspect.

Blue star Duncan James explained: "On the first day we met each other, Ashley Banjo said he was going to show us a basic strip routine, and said take off as much as we feel comfortable with. Laila, straight off!"

"And I never even knew them," the EastEnders star said.

"I've had cancer in 2005 and I had the operation and it taken out and touch wood I'm still here.

"That was only because of Wendy Richards making me go [to the doctors] because I wasn't going to bother.

"She said 'you better go because I will find out', so I went and he went 'you're going up to Guy's [Hospital]. I went and it was all done and dusted then. I didn't have chemo, I had radiotherapy. But yeah, it could have gone the other way."

Christine McGuinness, who is also taking part in the show, added: "We've all had our moments and our little insecurities, whether it's about our bodies or our dancing.

"I think Mo's story in particular, and her attitude to life and how positive she is, she will just take her top off, and it really helped me from the beginning.

"I think people expected me, because I've done modelling, to be fine but on the first day, I was probably the most nervous in the room.

"It's been an amazing journey, we've all been there for each other."

Laila added: "It's the nicest crowd I've ever worked with."

Strictly the Real Full Monty is on ITV on December 13 and 14 at 9pm.
