TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - October 27, 2016) - Digiflare is excited to announce its part in bringing Sportsnet, Canada's leading sports media brand, direct to consumers on Xbox One. The launch gives game console users direct-to-consumer (DTC) access to Sportsnet's top-rated sports programming for the first time. Sportsnet NOW allows customers to stream NHL, Blue Jays & MLB, Raptors & NBA, Premier League, Tim & Sid, Sportsnet Central and much more on the Xbox One platform.

The sports media leader selected Digiflare's professional services to deliver direct-to-consumer functionality for its app on Xbox One due to its OEM-recognized proficiency in building video apps. Digiflare brought its engineering and design expertise to help create an engaging live sports viewing experience on Xbox One.

The Digiflare team completed integrations with Sportsnet's third-party services for authentication and analytics, deployed UI/UX components for login and streaming and delivered key performance enhancements within a short timeframe.

Digiflare's design and development teams have ensured every aspect of the app supports a championship-caliber sports experience. The app features free-to-play highlights and show clips in addition to offering Sportsnet NOW subscribers access to live streaming games.

An "always on" Featured screen gets users straight into the action with video playing from the moment they launch the app. At the same time, Digiflare partnered with the Sportsnet team to build a "Recommended for You" section that serves video suggestions based on the sports, leagues, and teams the viewer cares about.
