Demolition begins at Regina's Sears Warehouse building

Demolition begins at Regina's Sears Warehouse building

Part of the Sears Warehouse building in Regina is being torn down to make way for the new Titan Business Park.

Demolition to part of the historic building began on Wednesday.

Hungerford Properties, based out of Vancouver, bought the 33-acre property last month, and is redeveloping it into a 176,000-square-foot warehouse space.

"We are excited to offer what has been missing in Regina for a long time — larger warehouse space for growing companies," Michael Hungerford, a partner in the owner company, said in a written release.

The release explained that the warehouse will be leased to a single user or will be shared by multiple tenants.

The company will also be offering 22 acres of excess land on the property as build to suit, lease or sale parcels.
